WOMEN EMPOWERMENT
CAFI Project
CAFI is a three-year project funded by the US Bureau of Population, Refugees and Migration that aims to promote collective action led by women and girls, represented by WLOs and women-led coalitions/networks, and to lead the planning and coordination among Call to Action signatories to operationalize the CTA field implementation in two regions: the Middle East/North Africa (MENA) and Western Africa. At present, six countries have been identified for project activities and advocacy initiatives: Cameroon, Mali and Niger; and Iraq, Lebanon and Sudan.
CAFI is being implemented by a Consortium made of the Arab Women’s Organization of Jordan (AWO), CARE USA and the Dynamique des Femmes Juristes (DFJ) in the Democratic Republic of Congo, in coordination with stakeholders in the six focus countries.
Farah Social Foundation was selected one of the Lebanese organization to participate in the planning and implementing of the MENA roadmap to apply to the Call to Action. In addition, FSF participated in the #GBV Minimum Standards TOT conducted in November 2021.
